CVHS Times

Chloe DaSilva

Chloe DaSilva, Opinion Editor

Chloe is a sophomore at Capo and is so excited to be working on the CVHS Times for a second year. She is passionate about giving back to her community, hanging out with her dogs and, most obviously, writing. Joining Newspaper was a clear choice for Chloe as she hoped to improve her journalism skills and engage with the students at Capo. Special talents consist of procrastinating on interviews, taking four hour naps and attempting to fix all of her problems with shopping, to name a few. Some of her favorite memories in Newspaper include eating extensive amounts of chips and meeting a bunch of cool new people.

“I think that it’s extremely important for youth to get involved and educated on activism and political issues. I’m a human rights and environmental activist, meaning that I advocate for the equal rights of oppressed groups and our damaged environment. Being an activist comes with the responsibility of educating yourself and others and spreading your passion to other young people. In our current world, change in the correct direction is essential, and doing things such as phone-banking, signing petitions, donating and participating in movements can make a change.” - Sophomore Rose Akbari
